      AHX
      Author: Abyss   Date Verified:
AHX is a protracker-like music editor that was designed especially to create C64-like synthetic tunes. There is no support for sampled instruments as chip tunes are made to be as small in size as possible. So an average AHX tune has a length of about 200 bytes - 5 kbytes (unpacked). All waveforms of the C64 are supported: Triangle, Sawtooth, Square and White Noise. Also Hi-/Lo-Pass filtering effects are supported (ring-modulation is hopefully to come in AHXv3).

Another possibility besides connecting it to Melody's controll bus is the use of Amiga's build-in Parallelport (as shown above)

      Aseq
      Author: Aseq   Date Verified:
Aseq general description. Aseq is a new midi and audio sequencer using an intuitive and easy to use interface. Better known as "x0x", refering to the famous 606, 808 and 909 drummachines, which use this method of sequencing. This program is mainly being developed on the Amiga line of computers, but ports to other platforms have been planned. Platforms of choice are QNX, Linux and perhaps (dr)dos. A port to Mac OSX will be very likely if I find the fundings to buy an OSX capable Mac. A port to Morphos depends on the availability of said OS and the affordability of a Morphos capable motherboard.

      Audio Evolution
      Author: Davy Wentzler   Date Verified:
Audio Evolution is an audio harddisk recording system primarily aimed at musicians who want an easy-to-use multitrack recorder for home-studio applications. It's based on the AHI system by Martin Blom, which makes it possible to run Audio Evolution on every modern soundcard designed for Amiga computers. Because of the efficient mixing routines of AHI, it's possible to play up to 30 tracks at the same time on expanded systems, even without PowerPC technology. But that's not what makes it a good harddisk recording system: Audio Evolution also offers a versatile mixing desk including individual channel and master level display, mute, solo, panning, subgroups and PPC realtime effects. Besides that, full mixer automation gives you mixing possibilities only limited by your imagination. For a quick overview of the most important features click here! Try out the demo of Audio Evolution now and join the Amiga evolution!

It seamed that other than myself liked the ideology, so within short time was HAM the fastest ripper site.

      Samplitude Opus
Author: Marc Albrecht and Thomas Wenzel   Date Verified:
Samplitude is obviously not the first sampling program for Amiga, but it differs from the other programs by the possibility of editing different samples with different sampling resolutions. Any number of projects can be administrated simultaneously in windows of optional size. This is an easy way to exchange data between several samples. Samplitude offers another option: zooming with any depth desired is not only possible along the time axis (horizontal) but also in the amplitude range (vertical), an urgent need for higher sampling resolutions in particular. Up to three different zoom factors of one sound can be displayed simultaneously

      SIDPLAY Home Page
      Author: n/a   Date Verified:
      - A multi-platform C64 music player and SID chip emulator - Basically, SIDPLAY [1] is just an ordinary music player software. More specifically, SIDPLAY emulates the Sound Interface Device chip (MOS 6581, commonly called SID) and the Micro Processor Unit (MOS 6510) of the Commodore 64 [2] on your computer. It is a platform independent software which emulates these hardware components. Therefore it is able to load and execute C64 machine code programs which produce music or sound. In general these are independent fragments of code and data which have been ripped from games and demonstration programs and have been transferred directly from the C64. For the Amiga, BeOS, OS/2 Warp, win. Mac, Linux and others.

      SIDPlayer
      Author: Christian Bauer   Date Verified:
SIDPlayer is a replayer program for C64 music ("SID tunes"). You can think of it as being a stripped-down C64 emulator that only emulates the CPU and the sound chip of the C64. SIDPlayer can be used as a stand-alone player or, under BeOS, as a plug-in for CL-Amp and SoundPlay. It runs under BeOS and Unix and is distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL).

SyX Amiga MIDI SysEx Dump Utility
Author: Thijs van der Vossen   Date Verified:
SyX is a MIDI utility that can record, transmit and save MIDI System Exclusive data. It can receive multiple messages, what is usefull for synths that send more than one SysEx message in a Bulk Dump. When transmitting the SysEx data, you can set a delay between bytes and/or messages. Some synths, like the Roland MC303 require this in order to receive the messages correctly.

      The AHI/PPC project status log
      Author: Martin Blom   Date Verified:
The AHI/PPC project status log. 2002-11-07 - Yes, ideed, today is November 7th, not July 11th. Anyway, I've been asked to clarify one thing regarding the PPC version of AHI. There will be no WarpUp version, nor will there be any PowerUp version. The reason is that neither of these two systems allow PPC code to be invoked from within an interrupt¹, which is an absolute requirement for AHI. The current PPC version is for MorphOS only. In the future, I hope to have an AmigaOS 4 version as well.

UADE is licensed with GNU GPL. This software would not have been possible for us to produce without the great Free Software model which allowed us to make use of years of hard work of the UAE team. Most of the thanks goes to their pioneering work to build the necessary infrastructure, especially Bernd Schmidt, the initiator of UAE project.
